Starting with some art…
This is what practicing hands looks like. No AI weird finger situations in this house. 🤣
There are artists on both sides of the fence, and then there are artists like me, we are small potatoes artists, small social media followings, and scraping by with smaller jobs that will probably be replaced by the canva’s and midjourey’s of the world.
I choose to be optomistic of the future. That AI will not become our overlords due to lack of regulation. However, I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was nervous.
Make my week and even if it isn’t me, Support an Artist or Illustrator who isnt crazy famous or popular. And if the artist you support isn’t me, please share info with me so that I can also at least give them a follow.

Now to the Good News…
Attention lazy gardeners! Why doing less can boost butterfly populations in your garden
I have never been good at keeping my yard and garden in order. I try to pick the lowest maintenance plants because I find it very difficult to keep up the garden. Needless to say I am very much the person this article is for. By letting your lawn grow out and not worry about the length of the grass or weeds, etc, you can help butterfly and other pollinator populations. Maybe it is because I have never really been good at gardening but I am all in for doing this especially if it means my kids get to see more native butterflies every year.
EU adopts first law tackling violence against women
While some countries struggle with protecting the women within their borders, the EU has taken a step towards protecting them from violence. The law makes it easier for women to report instances of abuse and can come with sentences upwards of 5 years in prison, and can be even longer if it is towards children, spouses, ex-spouses, journalists, human rights activists, or politicians. While like any law it is far from perfect, it is also a step in the right direction and progress that protects those who are vulnerable is never a bad thing.
If you forgot about mothers day …
Just in case you didn’t remember this coming Sunday is Mother’s Day, and if you still need a card or something fun to go with your gift, I made some coloring pages you can print at home and color for the mom in your life.
